Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American television chef and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and also serves as the host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature hairstyle and her pumped up personality, explains easy techniques any person can master. Chef Burrell worked in New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine traditions and environment. She also competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up within New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America has sparked her interest in managing restaurants when she received an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable experience for me. It was difficult to master, do or work enough. After graduating Chef Burrell resided in Italy for one year attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian philosophy and culture, which has had an impression on her perception of food. Burrell is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of struggling children. Burrell is also an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Advocate in which she raises awareness about young diabetics. Burrell is often a guest to speak at conferences and tours across the nation in her mentorship job. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has often said that I am so lucky to be able to share what I love most to others.
